VML oversaw the complicated remediation and demolition of the Fisons works prior to construction of the new facility. The existing building had been fireproofed in Asbestos and as a result  22 weeks of asbestos removal was required before the demolition crew could commence. Works then proceeded swiftly to a conclusion with the main anchor unit occupied by Currys opened on time and on budget. A second phase saw the construction of  a drive through food unit and Carphone Warehouse on the front of the site.

Parkridge purchased the old Fisons works in the centre of Loughborough and gained consent for a new retail park which sits next to Sainsbury’s and is situated just off the main retail area of the town. VML were employed as project managers to oversee the construction works.
