The conversion of the station buildings at Low Level Station formed part of a greater master plan dealing with the creative re-use of the station offices buildings and enclosing the large ‘uptown’ platform adjacent. By glazing in the platform and utilising the various sized ancillary rooms provision of widely varied commercial uses became possible. Most spectacularly the main ticket hall was completely renovated in fibrous plaster to it’s former glory at a cost in excess of £500K. All other period features were retained
